GramTel Completes Multimillion-Dollar Data Center Expansion
South Bend, IN; GramTel –-GramTel has recently completed a 4,000-square-foot build-out to accommodate its growing client base and to provide cutting-edge data center technology to its new and existing facilities, according to Tracy Graham, GramTel President and CEO.
“It’s imperative for technology providers to continually upgrade to be able to satisfy current clients and attract new ones. As more companies demand ‘safe sites’ like ours to keep their business-critical data, we have to be ready with redundant power and state-of-the-art security and HVAC systems,” said Graham.
GramTel’s expansion, which used local contractors, includes features such as 65? “hot aisle, cold aisle” methodology, generators capable of providing power for six days, Internet redundancy with connections going to cities outside South Bend, and biometric hand scans for building security. In addition, network engineers are on-site around the clock.
Graham notes that the business has become known nationally for its expertise in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery with enterprise-class monitoring. “Some studies estimate costs of up to $1 million per hour when a company has computer system downtime. Our focus is to prevent and respond to any emergency that may cause our clients’ information technology systems to become unavailable.”
GramTel was founded in 2000 and provides business continuity consulting and services, co-location services, and Enterprise IT infrastructure monitoring. For more information, visit www.gramtel.net.
