GramTel Announces Client Acquisitions in the Legal, Healthcare and Financial Industries

South Bend, Ind. -- GramTel announces today that it has added three new clients to its roster, according to Tracy D. Graham, GramTel President and CEO.

Citing a confidentiality agreement regarding disclosure of the clients’ names, Graham is able to report the industries they represent. GramTel will provide services for an international law firm that is in the top 60 firms in the United States, the world’s leading credit analysis company, and a large Midwest hospital and health system.

The legal client currently uses GramTel’s South Bend facility for disaster recovery purposes, but will now be locating all of its primary systems in GramTel’s new data center in Lombard, Ill. Having experienced a fail-over to the GramTel site and realizing how protected its disaster recovery systems were, this client made the choice to move all 3,000 square feet of its current data center into a GramTel-managed facility.

The financial client, with locations around the world, saw the value of having disaster recovery systems in place in GramTel’s South Bend facility. The location, combined with GramTel experience and methodology, made this an ideal choice.  GramTel was awarded this business over numerous other companies and locations throughout the country.

The healthcare client will be moving its disaster recovery services to GramTel in South Bend from an East Coast competitor in order to be closer to its main operations.  GramTel was chosen over other Midwest-based competitors because of the on-site staff GramTel maintains at its centers, as well as the redundancies in place throughout its operations.

“We have the procedures, mission-critical resources and infrastructures to recover and restore full network functionality with minimal loss of productivity. Our reputation as a company with proactive solutions to anticipate and react quickly to a disaster is becoming well-known throughout the United States. And because we are located in secondary, low-risk markets, large companies find us an attractive backup, or primary site for their data,” said Graham.

GramTel’s mission is to prevent and respond to emergencies that cause its clients’ critical systems to become unavailable. It has a full suite of business continuity solutions, including remote electronic data backup, disaster recovery services, co-location, and managed services that are tailored to specific industries and provide the reliability, scalability and geographic diversity needed to keep critical systems available.

GramTel was founded in 2000 and is a subsidiary of Jordan Industries, Inc., in Chicago. It provides disaster recovery/business continuity services, data backup, and co-location services. For more information, visit www.gramtel.net.
